WATCH: Works underway for Carmody’s Hill Wind Farm

DT Infrastructure has commenced early works on the Carmody’s Hill Wind Farm project in South Australia.

The project is being delivered in partnership with renewable energy developer Aula Energy and is located near Georgetown.

This marks a key step toward the development of a new large-scale renewable energy facility in the state’s Mid North region.

Once complete, the wind farm will comprise 42 turbines with a generation capacity of up to 256.2 megawatts (MW), along with a 118 MW battery energy storage system (BESS), designed to enhance grid stability and support energy reliability in the region.

According to DT Infrastructure, current activities include pre-construction surveying and design work.

These early works will progress the project to a 30 per cent design milestone in preparation for a final investment decision (FID) expected by late 2025. Construction is anticipated to commence in early 2026.

DT Infrastructure said the company is proud to continue its involvement in the delivery of renewable energy infrastructure nationwide.

“DT Infrastructure continues to play a critical role in the rollout of renewable energy projects right across the country and is proud to be a key contributor in Australia’s clean energy future,” the company said.
