The upgraded Vanguard 1P model features a multi-motor system equipped with a slewing drive and a bi-damper system. The solution’s innovative design enables the construction of longer trackers, reaching up to 140m, while minimising oscillation time, averting instabilities, improving dynamic response, and elevating the critical wind speed threshold.

The multi-motor feature ensures precise tracking even under the most challenging conditions.

Compared with the standard 1P tracker system, the enhanced Vanguard 1P significantly boosts installation efficiency, while the introduction of shrink tube technology has halved the time required for tube connections.

Additionally, the integration of a patented spherical bearing enhances terrain adaptability, simplifying the tracker assembly and reducing extra forces caused by misalignment.

TrinaTracker strategically amplifies the digitalisation and smart solution elements within its portfolio. The Smart Control System, comprising the Smart Controller, Trina Smart Cloud, and SuperTrack algorithm, has undergone substantial refinements, adding significant value to the overall solution.

These enhancements include improved operation and maintenance efficiency, as well as upgraded system security within the Trina Smart Cloud.

Other features include the implementation of a multi-role permission management feature for enhanced security, innovative alerts such as motor diagnostic pre-warning, and the integration of a 3D digital map for easy identification of alerts and faults.

The SuperTrack algorithm has also undergone significant advances, expanding its range of application settings while autonomously identifying, training, and optimising itself, resulting in a marked increase in energy production of up to eight per cent.

This improved energy output is made possible by the combined effect of two algorithms: Smart Tracking Algorithm (STA), boosting energy generation in overcast conditions, and Smart Backtracking Algorithm (SBA), designed to reduce row-to-row shadows in uneven terrain.

Head of the TrinaTracker Competence Centre in Spain, Juan Manuel Gomez Garcia, said these improvements underscore TrinaTracker’s commitment to not only enhancing the physical aspects of solar tracking solutions but also boost the integration of intelligent, digital elements for a complete and efficient user experience.

The Smart Control System has maintained a consistent sales record over two years, achieving a total capacity of 4.9 gigawatts (GW) across 16 countries. Similarly, the Vanguard 1P has enjoyed two years of robust sales, supplying over 3.3GW of energy and boasting a global production capacity of more than 10GW, with a presence in 40 countries.

Through Vanguard 1P and other evolving technologies, TrinaTracker will continue to place a premium on customer value, leading industries through technological innovation and harnessing digital intelligence technology to enable customers to unlock a new era of power plant efficiency.
