Trina Solar launches next-generation 430W Vertex S rooftop solar module

At the recent Energy Next exhibition in Sydney, Trina Solar launched its next-generation 430W Vertex S residential rooftop module, an upgrade on the previous model released earlier in 2022.

The Vertex S series (all-black version pictured above) recently won Germany’s Red Dot Design Award, the top international accolade for product design. The single-module power in the next-generation module in the series has increased by up to 30W through the implementation of 210mm rectangular silicon wafer technology and an innovative module design.

“Trina Solar is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year, making us one of the most established companies in the global solar industry,” says Todd Li, president, Trina Solar Asia Pacific.

“We are Australia’s top-selling solar module brand, and the launch of the new-generation Vertex S range of modules reinforces our market-leading position and demonstrates our ongoing commitment of technological innovation to bring more value to our partners and customers in Australia.”

Trina Solar also recently celebrated its high-efficiency PERC solar cell achieving a world record efficiency of 24.5 per cent, independently confirmed by China’s National Institute of Metrology.

According to the company, the new record for 210mm P-type monocrystalline silicon PERC cells represents the 24th time Trina Solar has created a world record in solar efficiency.

Trina Solar’s technologies include a multilayer anti-reflection, ultra-fine metallisation finger, and super multi-busbars (MBB) which contribute to the 24.5 per cent efficiency for large-area 210mm high-efficiency PERC cells.

“We are proud to announce the latest achievements developed by our technical team,” says Dr Yifeng Chen, Trina Solar’s head of high-efficiency cell and module research and development.

“PERC is a very mature industrial technology with a low cost. Our latest achievement indicates Trina Solar’s research and development team’s vigorous and innovative capabilities in mature technology in mass production.”
