SolarQuotes awards installers’ service excellence

According to the Clean Energy Council, rooftop solar remains one of Australia’s most significant renewable energy contributors. In 2025, around 27 gigawatts of rooftop solar capacity have been installed nationwide, putting the country on track to exceed its 2030 targets.

While annual installation rates are moderating as the market matures, the shift is being offset by rapid growth in battery storage, smarter system integration and a move toward solar-plus-storage solutions. In alignment, installers are increasingly delivering integrated systems that combine panels, batteries, electric vehicle (EV) chargers, and energy management software.

As Australia’s solar market matures, the SolarQuotes 2025 Installers Choice Awards and Customer Choice Awards highlighted one major theme: Long-term success belongs to installers who support customers well beyond installation.

Installers Choice Awards

The named winners of the 2025 Installers Choice Awards, hosted by SolarQuotes, was based on feedback from installers across the country that are a part of the SolarQuotes network. The SolarQuotes network is a group of vetted solar installers in Australia who meet strict quality, service and customer-trust standards.

Installers Choice Awards winners included:

  • Best Solar Panels – Aiko Solar
  • Best Home Batteries – Tesla and Sungrow
  • Best Solar Inverters and Best EV Chargers – Fronius
  • Best Hot Water Heat Pumps – iStore

SolarQuotes has already begun canvassing installers for its 2026 awards, signalling continued focus on peer-driven assessment as the market evolves.

Customer Choice Awards

In October 2025, SolarQuotes hosted its inaugural awards event at the Showtime Events Centre in Melbourne. The night’s headline honour, Customer Choice Award, was awarded to RESINC Solar, following a national assessment based on a weighted average of customer reviews published on the SolarQuotes online platform. The award was open to all installers nationwide, regardless of whether they were part of the SolarQuotes network.

RESINC finished first among thousands of installers, earning its title as the best solar installer in New South Wales and wider Australia, based on its unrivalled five-star average rating from 1,966 reviews. Located in Wyong, RESINC operates across New South Wales, Queensland and Victoria, with plans to expand into Western Australia and the Australian Capital Territory (ACT).

Leigh Storr, Founder of RESINC, stepped up to accept the award, a member of the audience called out: “What’s your secret?”

Storr’s response was characteristically simple: “I don’t think there is any real secret other than turning up for customers after the installation.”

That philosophy is echoed consistently across RESINC’s customer reviews, where post-installation support and monitoring feature heavily.

One customer’s review after RESINC installed a 13-kilowatt system for them: “Blown away by the service. They monitor the system for us, and there was a fault we didn’t even know about – RESINC reached out and fixed it.”

Customer Choice Award state and territory winners included:

  • Queensland – Reef Solar and Electrical
  • South Australia – Goliath Solar and Electrical
  • Victoria – Brightworks Solar
  • Western Australia – Regen Power
  • ACT – Stag Electrical, Solar and Refrigeration
  • Tasmania – Expert Electrical
  • Northern Territory – Eco Tech Electrical

Additional honours on the night highlighted the industry’s growing emphasis on professionalism and collaboration:

  • Best On Ground Award – Lightning Energy in Melbourne
  • Origin MVP Award – Limitless Energy in Melbourne
