Solahart to begin installing Tesla Powerwall in February 2016

Solar hot water systems provider Solahart is the latest Australian reseller to partner with Tesla Energy, with installations expected to begin in February 2016.

The company will become the only Australian reseller to provide solar hot water systems, PV systems and Tesla Powerwall batteries.  The collaboration between Solahart and Tesla will allow the Powerwall batteries to be retrofitted to existing PV systems or sold as part of an integrated solution when paired with a new PV system.

Solahart General Manager of Sales and Marketing Renewables, Stephen Cranch, said the company is proud to be at the forefront of this “exciting new phase” in Australia’s solar industry.

“We have witnessed myriad changes in the solar industry in Australia and we anticipate significant changes in the country’s energy market and how consumers perceive and take up renewable energy,” Mr Cranch said.

He said Solahart’s extensive installation capability led to it becoming picked as one of Tesla’s preferred retailers.

Solahart’s experienced dealers and accredited installers are well positioned to provide advice on the benefits of the Powerwall battery and other renewable energy solutions we offer that help householders and businesses to reduce their energy bills and impact on the environment.”

Mr Cranch expects Solahart’s installation prices for the Powerwall to be competitive with what is being offered by others in the market.

The  first three local installers for the battery were announced in December last year: Origin Energy, Simple Energy and Natural Solar.

The list now includes Bradford Solar, SunEdison Australia, Ergon, Citipower/Powercor, SAPN, United Energy and most recently, Solahart.
