SOFAR-Sunsavers partnership enters new chapter

SOFAR announces a significant expansion of its partnership with leading Australian distributor Sunsavers Group. SOFAR Chairman Tom Xu and John Liu, Managing Director of Sunsavers Group Australia, have signed a landmark agreement for 3 GWh of inverter and storage solutions, accelerating smarter clean energy deployment across Australian homes.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held on October 22nd at the new Sunsavers warehouse in Sydney, attended by John Grimes, CEO of the Smart Energy Council, and Councillor Richard Ammoun from Liverpool City Council.

“Australia’s Cheaper Home Battery Rebate Program has kicked off, and suddenly everyone wants a home battery,” John Grimes said.

“That’s great news for the clean energy industry, but it’s also meant that batteries are flying off the shelves. Lots of manufacturers are struggling to keep up with demand. So it’s great to see SOFAR stepping up, opening this new Sydney warehouse, and making sure Australian installers and customers can get stock quickly when they need it. That’s real commitment to the market,” Grimes said.

“SOFAR has built a strong reputation for being reliable, innovative, and seriously committed to quality. And they stand behind what they sell, with a seven day warranty claim guarantee. If an issue can’t be fixed remotely within seven days, SOFAR will replace the system with a brand new one. That’s confidence, that’s service, and that’s what sets them apart,” Grimes added.

Lawrence Wang, Global Marketing Director of SOFAR, stated: “We want to make the new energy accessible, affordable and intelligent.”

John Liu, Managing Director of Sunsavers Group, emphasised: “Help the community to save the money, save the energy and build a cleaner future.”

Sid Shaheed, General Manager of Sunsavers Group, commented: “This partnership is built on trust, innovation, and a shared commitment to shaping a cleaner energy future. Together, we’re empowering Australian installers and customers with smarter, high-performance solar and storage solutions, fully supported locally.”

“SOFAR is not just another player in the market, it’s the Lion of Australia’s Battery Industry. With Sunsavers leading local distribution and support, we’re ensuring long-term value and stability for the installer community,” Shaheed added.
