RES boosts Australian presence with Windlab acquisition

In a strategic move to strengthen its services offerings in Australia, global renewable energy leader RES has acquired the asset management contract book of Windlab, including the iconic Kennedy Energy Park, Coonooer Bridge Wind Farm, and Ararat Wind Farm.

Anthony Berzi, Director of Support Services at RES said the company is delighted to announce the acquisition of Windlab’s Asset Management contract book.

“This strategic move aligns seamlessly with RES’ vision to provide comprehensive and cutting-edge services for our clients in the Australian renewable energy sector,” Berzi said.

As part of the contract, RES developed and constructed Ararat Wind Farm,  which powers around 120,000 homes and has been an important source of clean energy and economic activity in the region.

RES’s expanded services portfolio underscores its leadership in the renewable energy industry and solidifies its position as a key player in the Australian market.

According to the company, it looks forward to applying its proven expertise in asset management to optimise the performance and longevity of the acquired projects, ensuring maximum return on investment for its clients.

RES entered the Australian market in 2004 and now employs over 150 people across the country. The company offers development, construction, and asset management services across various renewable energy technologies, including wind, solar, and energy storage.
