The Queensland Community Renewables Forum will be held in Roma, offering a chance for local communities to gain insights into the region’s growing renewable energy sector.

The event, hosted by the Queensland Renewable Energy Council (QREC) and Coexistence Queensland, aims to provide landowners, farmers, businesses, and residents with a deeper understanding of the renewable energy projects shaping the future of the Maranoa region.

RELA’s Head of Regional Development and Relations, Gary Lees, will be a key speaker at the forum, sharing his expertise on the energy transition and its impact on local communities. The free event will feature presentations, information booths, and Q&A sessions with industry leaders, as well as updates on upcoming renewable energy projects.

Maranoa Regional Council Mayor Wendy Taylor highlighted the significance of the event.

“The renewable energy sector is expanding in our region, and it’s important that Maranoa residents have the opportunity to engage early and understand how these projects may affect them,” she said.
