RACV has completed a significant upgrade to its electric vehicle (EV) charging network, including its resorts, City Club, and public charging locations throughout Victoria.
The upgrades include new chargers at public sites in Ballarat, Barnawartha North, Euroa, Horsham, Moe, Torquay, and Airport West — one of Australia’s busiest EV charging locations.
These sites now feature direct-current (DC) chargers capable of delivering up to 50 kilowatts (KW) and 350 KW, catering to a wide range of EV models.
RACV resorts in Inverloch, Cape Schanck, and Healesville, as well as its Noble Park office, now offer 50 kW DC chargers, while 22 kW alternating-current (AC) chargers have been installed at Healesville, Torquay, Inverloch, Cape Schanck, Goldfields, Noosa, Royal Pines Resorts, and the City Club. The chargers at RACV Torquay Resort are also accessible to the public.
RACV members will receive a 10 per cent discount across the entire charging network. Users can locate chargers and check real-time availability using the EV charger finder feature in the RACV app.
The upgraded sites also feature CCTV cameras to enhance safety and deter vandalism, providing a secure environment for users.
Greg Edye, RACV General Manager Energy Services, highlighted the importance of the upgrades in addressing Victoria’s growing need for EV infrastructure.
“RACV’s EV network upgrade reflects our continued commitment to helping Victorians reach their destination safely and efficiently,” Edye said.
“Our focus has been to deliver reliable, fast-charging solutions across Victoria, to support RACV Members and customers with keeping their vehicles fully charged for their journey.”
