Positioning for Australia’s data centre expansion

The development of data centres in Australia are expanding at a pace that is reshaping the country’s energy landscape, consuming an estimated 3.9 terawatt-hour of electricity in the last financial year, which is forecast to more than triple by 2030.

In 2025, data centres accounted for approximately 40 per cent of all renewable energy power purchase agreements signed across the world.
