NSW shortlists 2,850MW of projects for $75m Emerging Energy Program

Twenty-one renewable and storage projects have made it through to the short lists for $75 million in NSW Government grant funding for pre-investment studies and capital projects to develop dispatchable electricity from “affordable, reliable and clean energy” sources.

In the pre-investment funding stream, grants worth $7.1 million have been awarded to projects totalling 2,150MW of on-demand electricity, “with the potential to leverage almost $2 billion in private investment,” the government claims.

Recipients will participate in knowledge-sharing activities to help industry deploy new technologies and business models in NSW.
