Looking for project finance? Try SERA’s All-Energy investors breakfast … but be quick about it

Two-hundred Australian utility-scale solar and wind projects have yet to achieve financial close, says Sustainable Energy Research Analytics. These projects total 31GW, or 78% of future generation potential in the SERA Tracker database.

More than 1,100MW of solar PV has secured financing so far this year and a further 800MW of wind capacity. SERA tracks about 4GW of projects that are either actively under construction or have reached financial close. It expects these and generating assets to produce more than 25,000GWh once fully operational.

Competition is high in the race to secure financing and grid access, with 43 new assets added to the development pipeline in the last two months.

SERA is inviting prospective developers of renewable energy projects that are seeking financing to consider taking part in the All-Energy Australia 2017 investor breakfast where six developers will get the chance to pitch their project to a room of investors.

The networking breakfast will take place on October 12 from 7.30-9.00am and will be chaired by Gero Farruggio, director of Sustainable Energy Research Analytics.
