JA Solar has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Australian clean energy provider YES Group to supply 100MW of high-efficiency solar modules in 2025.
The company said the agreement marks a significant step in its long-term strategy to expand its presence in Australia. It will reinforce a partnership that draws on both companies’ strengths: JA Solar’s manufacturing capabilities and YES Group’s record in delivering turnkey solar solutions across the country.
The modules will feature JA Solar’s flagship DeepBlue 4.0 Pro technology, known for its high performance in Australia’s varied and often demanding environments. The product is currently deployed across residential and commercial photovoltaic (PV) projects nationwide.
YES Group’s Chief Commercial Officer Blake Williams highlighted JA Solar’s global reputation for quality control, noting saying aligns with YES Group’s own approach to solar PV project development. He expressed confidence “the partnership will enable both companies to deliver premium solar PV solutions tailored to the needs of Australian customers”.
JA Solar President East Asia and South Pacific Region Steven Chen said the agreement reflects the company’s commitment to building long-term value through local partnerships.
“With our industry-leading products and localised service capabilities, we aim to deepen our engagement with the Australian market,” he said.
JA Solar, which established its Australian subsidiary in 2012, said it will continue to work with local partners to accelerate the uptake of clean energy across the region.
