This inverter is made for the Aussie market

Meet the latest member of Growatt’s “X” family – the MIN 7-10KTL-X2 inverter – tailored for the booming Australian solar market.

Back in 2019, Growatt noticed the rising demand for larger single-phase inverters. More end-users were seeking inverters with outputs larger than 6kW for residential scenarios. After two years of research and development, Growatt unveils the all-new MIN 7-10KTL-X2 single-phase inverter with customised cutting-edge functions.

Australian residential houses need more Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) trackers. This is why the MIN 7-10KTL-X2 has three MPPTs, allowing the installer to easily install solar panels in three different directions on the client’s rooftop.

Additionally, with these three MPPTs, the installer can maximise the Small-scale Technology Certificates (STC) with 1.33 times DC oversizing of solar panels.

Larger solar panels have become a trend in Australia. To match this trend, the Growatt MIN 7-10KTL-X2 inverter has an 18A maximum MPPT current and a 24A maximum MPPT short-circuit current, enabling it to work smoothly and safely with large solar panels.

Based on end-user and installer feedback, Growatt insists on keeping an OLED display and touch-button interface, giving clients the option to read data either from a smartphone or computer, or from the in-built inverter screen.

As Customer-Side Infrastructure Provider – Australia (CSIP-AUS) requirements become increasingly prevalent across Australia, more states are requiring a dynamic export limit function.

The new MIN 7-10KTL-X2 comes equipped with this functionality. Growatt offers flexible solutions, allowing clients to achieve the export limit function using either a current transformer (CT) or Smart Meter.

Clients can monitor their family consumption by opting for a Smart Meter solution. Alternatively, for those seeking a more cost-effective option, they can use a CT to manage the export limit.

With feedback from local electricians, Growatt updated the newly optimised Wi-Fi dongle with an inbuilt Bluetooth function, allowing the installer to complete the Wi-Fi commissioning in just five minutes.

In summary, the MIN 7-10KTL-X2 inverter is designed to meet the specific needs of the Australian market, combining advanced functionality, flexibility, and ease of installation.

Growatt continues to listen to customer feedback and innovate, ensuring that their products not only meet but exceed market demands. Stay tuned as we bring this cutting-edge technology to Australia.
