The on-grid inverter is designed to convert solar direct current (DC) power into the alternating current (AC) needed for Australian homes and businesses. Any excess power can be fed back into the grid by utilising solar energy for powering household loads.
Energy storage inverters have two purposes. The key difference is they can convert DC into AC, but also convert AC into DC for charging an attached lithium battery.
