Global energy storage powerhouse HyperStrong is making a significant move into the Australian market with the opening of its new Asia Pacific headquarters and a key partnership with local company.
On October 21, HyperStrong, a leading provider of advanced energy storage solutions, officially inaugurated its APAC headquarters in Sydney’s northern business district.
According to HyperStrong, this strategic location will serve as a hub for regional business development, engineering support, and customer service, highlighting HyperStrong’s commitment to being closer to its customers and partners in the Asia Pacific region.
The new office will focus on expanding HyperStrong’s capabilities and driving innovation in battery energy storage systems (BESS) tailored to the specific needs of the APAC market.
The company has already signed strategic cooperation agreements and memorandums of understanding with several local clients in Australia, with plans to secure further project cooperation agreements and procurement orders in the near future.
Significantly, HyperStrong has forged a partnership with Tesseract ESS, a solar and energy storage-as-a-service provider for commercial and industrial (C&I) customers in Australia.
This marks HyperStrong’s first Australian partnership agreement since the opening of its APAC headquarters.
The partnership, sealed at the All Energy Australia exhibition in Melbourne, will see HyperStrong manufacturing the modular, integrated Unity Node all-in-one energy storage system for Tesseract ESS.
Combining tier-one batteries with Battery Management Systems, Energy Management Systems, fire suppression, and thermal management, the Unity Node will be offered through Tesseract ESS’s energy plan.
HyperStrong’s CMO and APAC Business Leader, Kevin Changbin Qiu, said the company is committed to helping Australian C&I customers achieve their ambitions for affordable and clean energy.
“Our partnership with Tesseract ESS marks our symbolic entry into the Australian market. Hyperstrong is committed to helping C&I customers achieve their ambitions to access affordable and clean energy,” he said.
“It is our vision to build a sustainable ESS ecosystem in Australia and to deliver advanced, safe and reliable energy storage solutions to help businesses grow.”
At the All Energy Australia Exhibition, HyperStrong showcased its cutting-edge solutions, including the HyperBlock III for utility-scale applications, the HyperCube II for C&I clients, and the HyperCube Pro for EV charging.
The company’s CTO, Dr. Guang Yang, also delivered a keynote speech on leveraging data analytics and AI to optimise energy storage systems and maximise value for customers.
