The Clean Energy Council recently announced a new scholarship to support the development of the next generation of female leaders in the clean energy industry.
Chief executive Kane Thornton said the Clean Energy Council ispartnering with Monash Business School to offer the Your Leadership Voice: Women in Focus scholarship which includes a targeted skill development program focusing on areas such as negotiation, public speaking, communication skills and leadership style. The program is focused on supporting women from a diverse range of backgrounds, giving them the confidence to stand out in leadership roles.
“This scholarship is another addition to the industry’s ongoing Women in Renewables Initiative,” Thornton said.
“The Your Leadership Voice program from Monash Business School will support a new generation of leaders across a wide range of industries, getting us closer to addressing the gender gap within the renewable energy sector and, ultimately, driving innovation through increased diversity.”
Monash Business School’s Director of Leadership, Professor Anne Lytle, said the Your Leadership Voice: Women in Focus scholarship offers women a week-long intensive program to enhance existing skills and become confident leaders.
“Through the work the Clean Energy Council is doing for women in the renewable energy industry, we are moving towards achieving our shared vision of workplaces that are not only built on diversity and inclusion, but lead the way to a better, smarter and cleaner future for all.”
Applications for the scholarship are now open and close on Sunday 18 November 2018. The successful applicant must commit to attending the week-long intensive version of the program in Melbourne from 26-31 May 2019.
