At an Osijek meat processing factory, a 50 kilowatts (kW) system with 61.44 kilowatts-hour (kWh) battery storage has been installed, primarily for peak-shaving applications. This setup helps stabilise energy supply for the processing line, reducing grid dependency during high-demand periods.
In the agricultural sector, a chicken farm has been equipped with a larger 100kW system, featuring 100kWh of battery storage. This installation ensures stable power for henhouses and optimises energy use during peak consumption hours.
Similarly, an apple farm has integrated a 50kW system with 46.08kWh of battery storage. This solution not only powers the farm’s fruit packaging production line and cold storage but also allows for selling surplus electricity back to the grid.
The industrial applications extend to the timber industry as well. A wood factory now operates with a 100kW system and 122.88kWh of battery storage, supporting both wood processing equipment and office needs while optimising energy costs.
