The Clarke Creek Wind Farm project has reached its third quarter milestone, with the successful installation of 72 out of 100 planned wind turbines.
According to Squadron Energy, Clarke Creek Wind Farm’s developer, it remains on track to complete the full erection of all turbines by June 2025.
Currently, 16 turbines are operating simultaneously, delivering a total capacity of 70 megawatts as commissioning and testing are underway.
Additionally, both the central and southern substations of the Clarke Creek Wind Farm have been fully energised and have received the necessary approvals to begin operation.
Stanwell Corporation, a government-owned energy generator, has secured a 15-year agreement to purchase over 75 per cent of the clean energy generated by the Clarke Creek Wind Farm.
The wind farm said this partnership will support Stanwell’s customers, including Brisbane Airport Corporation and Anglo American, in meeting their sustainability goals.
