The inaugural Careers for Net Zero Fair is being held in Melbourne on Thursday, 26 October, 2023, to showcase career opportunities in the clean energy industry.
Presented by the Clean Energy Council and Energy Efficiency Council, the free-to-attend event will run alongside All-Energy Australia at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre. It will launch a nationwide campaign to showcase career prospects that contribute to a sustainable and net-zero Australia.
The Careers for Net Zero Fair is open to people of all backgrounds who are keen to explore how their skills and expertise can play a pivotal role in shaping a prosperous future within the clean energy sector.
Attendees are expected to comprise leaders in the renewables industry, educators, students, career advisors and policymakers. They will have the opportunity to connect with leading organisations who contribute to the clean economy; discover job openings, internships and career pathways; and build connections with industry professionals, recruiters and other jobseekers.
The fair will be launched by Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews and co-CEO of Atlassian and chair of Boundless Earth Mike Cannon-Brookes. They will be joined by some of Australia’s leaders in energy management, the circular economy, carbon removals and renewables.
Onsite will be an exhibition area and sessions from industry leaders covering the critical jobs needed across the clean economy; the barriers and enablers to developing the clean economy workforce; and the opportunities for all Australians to be involved in achieving net-zero emissions.
