Australian households are expected to benefit from greater access to discounted finance for energy-efficient home upgrades, with the Federal Government committing $40 million to Brighte under the $1 billion Household Energy Upgrades Fund (HEUF).
The HEUF is a $1 billion Australian Government program to provide discounted finance that helps households install energy-efficient upgrades; such as, solar, batteries, insulation and efficient appliances to cut bills and improve home performance.
Delivered through the Clean Energy Finance Corporation (CEFC), HEUF investment is expected to support up to $150 million in consumer energy resources (CER) installations nationwide.
Eligible households will be able to use the funding to install solar and battery systems, energy-efficient heating and cooling, insulation and EV chargers.
Brighte will offer its new HEUF Discounted Green Loan at an introductory rate of 6.99 per cent, with terms from two to ten years and loan sizes ranging from $2,000 to $55,000.
This month’s announcement marks the sixth CEFC-supported investment under the HEUF, bringing total government commitment to more than $400 million. Previous financing partnerships include: Plenti, Westpac, ING Australia, Bank Australia, and the Commonwealth Bank.
Brighte’s HEUF Discounted Loans are available now, helping more households cut energy bills and invest in cleaner, more efficient technologies.
