Sungrow-Samsung SDI showcased new energy storage system products and solutions at Solar Power International 2016 in Las Vegas in September.
The company released its 250kW energy storage inverter, the SC250KU, which has a virtual synchronous generator function, high power and energy density, large capacity, high efficiency and wide voltage range.
Sungrow-Samsung SDI also showcased its li-ion battery products, which are characterized by high energy density, longer lives and inherent safety features.
The energy storage systems can be used in various applications such as energy shifting, frequency regulation and commercial projects based on the flexible configuration of battery pack, the company says.
Sungrow-Samsung SDI Energy Storage Power Supply Co is a joint venture between Sungrow Power Supply and Samsung SDI.
The company produces about 2GWh for li-ion batteries and 3GW for energy storage inverters a year, with total installed capacity of more than 600MWh across more than 300 projects.
