The CSIRO Energy Centre was commissioned in September 2002. It is owned by the CSIRO, was developed by the Federal Govt., and used construction contractor John Holland. Total capacity is 41 kW, and has 2 WestWind 20kW wind turbines and 1 WestWind1 kW. The Wind Farm originally consisted of 3 20 kW wind turbines, however due to another wind farm project being built in the area had to be revised.
