The study known as FloraSearch, which is a collaboration between the Joint Venture Agroforestry Program (JVAP) and the Future Farm Industries Cooperative Research Centre (FFI CRC), has advanced the prospects of native plants becoming commercially viable woody crops for southern Australia’s agricultural regions.

The project has also evaluated the economic and spatial feasibility of these new crops and industries across southern Australia.

The Joint Venture Agroforestry Program is a partnership between the Rural Industries Research and Development Corporation (RIRDC), Land & Water Australia (LWA) and Forest & Wood Products Australia (FWPA).
