Silex Systems is in discussions with the Victorian and Federal Governments to finalise grants that would initiate the first stage of its Mildura Solar Project.
The first stage would involve a 2 MW pilot solar facility, construction for which is hoped to commence in 2011, depending on the success of negotiations.
The company also announced the completed acquisition of the Mildura Solar Project’s former owners, Solar Systems Group (SSG), which went into voluntary administration in 2009. SSG’s assets have now been acquired in a wholly owned subsidiary of Silex Systems.
The Victorian Government had previously pledged funding for the Mildura Solar Project prior to SSG going into administration.
