REDSET – an Australian renewable energy products and services provider – has targeted Townsville as the most recent location of its expanding network of warehouses all over Australia.
The ‘go local’ initiative is the Australian renewable energy distribution and manufacturing company’s plan to increase its ability to work at a local level with its customers and provide reliable and timely stock access and support.
With its head office in Canning Vale, Western Australia, REDSET now has a local presence in Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, and Perth, and, most recently, Townsville.
“Consistent and cost effective stock delivery is essential to the success of any solar retail business,” said Managing Director of REDSET Ross Young.

REDSET believes that transport costs and timeliness have long been key issues for retailers, with customers wanting their systems installed as soon as possible and stock availability and transport often delaying the process.
In developing an increased local presence, REDSET is clear as to who their market is, with small retailers being a key focus for this rapidly expanding company.
“In our opinion small retailers have historically not been overly looked after by solar distributors, with most tending to target larger retailers for bigger volume purchases,” said Mr Young.
“Our experience has shown that small retailers appreciate and value our attention to service and support despite their size.”
By having a local presence in each state REDSET also believes that, despite their national presence, they will be better positioned to meet differing local needs.
“Our warehouse and sales managers are local people who understand the intricacies of solar in their home states and can tailor their products and kits to maximise the local retail opportunities.”
