Geothermal company Petratherm has recently released plans for a Clean Energy Precinct, which will deliver 600 MW of energy to mining developments in the north-west of South Australia
The Precinct project is to initially comprise a mix of gas, wind and solar power generation, and later geothermal power connection, and will be tailored to meet the needs of the mining developments.

The location of the Precinct was selected as it is the nearest point to the ‘on gird’ market where there is a convergence of all four resources – gas, wind, solar and geothermal.
