The Banksia Awards aim to recognise significant contributions to the sustainable future of Australia through leadership and innovation in managing environmental and societal improvements.

Community group entries in any of the ten award categories are also eligible for community grants of up to $10,000 through the Banksia Community Grant.

Submissions close on 22 July 2011, and finalists are announced on 7 September 2011. The winning entries are awarded in October 2011.
