Available in the 2, 2.5 or 3 kilowatt (kW) power class, the Sunny Boy HF inverter has a peak efficiency of over 96 per cent. Sunny Boy HF yields can be improved by using it in conjunction with SMA’s OptiTrac and OptiCool Temperature Management technology.
The Sunny Boy HF is compatible with all conventional module types and most photovoltaic (PV) modules can be installed with just two strings.
The unit weighs in at 17 kilograms and the unit is equipped with an SMA Sunclix DC plug-in system that eliminates the need for installation tools.
SMA is also celebrating the release of another new inverter, the Sunny Tripower.
