The six month contract will commence in January 2012 and is expected to generate revenue in excess of $40 million for the company.
Biodiesel fuel made from palm oil will be supplied to the oil major, which is fully certified under the International Sustainability and Carbon Certification Scheme.
While a Mission spokesperson was unable to provide details of specific quantities of the biodiesel to be supplied to the oil major, it was stated that an even amount will be supplied over the entire six month period of the contract.
At full capacity, Mission can produce 105 million gallons (approximately 400,000,000 litres) of biodiesel, and holds enough plantations to provide a sustainable non-edible oil supply of an estimated 22 million barrels.
