A-TEC Industries AG, the parent company of AE&E Australia that has the engineering, procurement and construction contract for the Mackay Sugar Cogeneration Plant, has announced the commencement of re-organisation proceedings with self-administration.

In the event of AE&E Australia being unable to complete the contract, the contingency plan provides for Mackay Sugar to take over the contract and manage the project with an expanded Mackay Sugar project team.
