Industry comes together at EcoGen networking event
EcoGeneration — March/April 2011
In the lead up to EcoGen 2011, the first in a special series of networking events being held across major cities took place in Sydney. Herbert Geer, hosted the industry briefing event featuring the Renewable Energy Regulator, Andrew Livingston.
Mr Livingston presented on the immediate effects of the large-scale renewable energy target (LRET) and the small-scale renewable energy scheme (SRES) that came into effect on 1 January 2011.
The industry briefing was followed by an engaging Q&A session, during which Mr Livingston answered queries about the Office’s procedures for regulating the LRET and SRES markets, the challenges faced by his office regarding implementation of the LRET and SRES and how these have been overcome, as well as projections for future market growth under the Renewable Energy Target.
The next EcoGen 2011 networking and industry briefing is being held on 7 April in Melbourne, which will be hosted and sponsored by Suzlon Energy Australia.
