Enerflex has specialised in cogeneration combined heat and power for over 40 years. Enerflex cogeneration plants are used globally in commercial, industrial and utility applications, including sports complexes, hotels and hospitals. One of the most popular cogeneration products Enerflex distributes is the Waukesha Engine, which has been available in Australia through Enerflex since 1994.
Waukesha engines are designed to perform reliably in isolated, mission-critical and demanding applications that require them to run non-stop for months on end, stopping only for essential routine maintenance. Waukesha has focused on developing features that make a Waukesha engine a sound investment, such as durable design and construction, extended maintenance intervals, unsurpassed fuel flexibility, and rich-burn, lean-burn alternatives for optimal fuel efficiency at varying emissions compliance levels.
Along with the very capable current line of Waukesha gas powered generators, Enerflex will be offering the APG1000 into Australia. Designed for the power generation market providing high efficiency, low emissions and low operating costs, the APG1000 was developed in co-operation with the United States Department of Energy. One of the world’s highest efficiency generator sets, the APG1000 gained immediate market acceptance after its 2006 introduction. The 16 cylinder APG1000 generator set is rated at 1000 kilowatts at 50 hertz (1500 revolutions per minute). Its 1 MW size is a key building block in developing gas-fired power generation solutions for specific site needs.
