EcoGen 2011 is the clean energy industry’s premier Conference and Exhibition that addresses the most relevant topics affecting the industry as a whole, and also provides insight into technology-specific developments. Importantly, EcoGen 2011 will be the first gathering of the clean energy industry since the announcement of the Federal Government’s proposed carbon pricing mechanism. As such, EcoGen 2011 is the place to be to learn what those at the forefront of the renewable energy industry have to say about the implications of this proposed mechanism. The speaker program for 2011 features heavy-weight international clean energy figures Mike Eckhart, the founding President of the American Council On Renewable Energy and Head of Environmental Finance at Citigroup, and Dan Kammen, the World Bank's Chief Technical Specialist for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency. National clean energy leaders will also be addressing EcoGen 2011 delegates, including Senator Christine Milne, Deputy Leader of the Australian Greens Party, and The Hon. Greg Hunt MP, Shadow Minister for Climate Action, Environment and Heritage. EcoGen 2011 will also offer multiple opportunities to network with industry colleagues. Day One of the event will conclude with the EcoGen 2011 Exhibition Opening Cocktail Party, on Monday 6 September from 6:00pm – 8:00pm in the EcoGen 2011 Exhibition Hall. Day Two will be rounded off in style with the EcoGen 2011 Gala Dinner and Awards Evening on Tuesday 6 September from 7:00pm – 11:00pm, to be held at The Gabba. At this glamorous event attendees will learn the winners of the EcoGen 2011 Clean Energy Industry Awards and also enjoy entertainment from stand-up comedian and ABC Television presenter Wil Anderson.
