EcoGen 2011 is pleased to announced that Dr Sandra Nielsen, Entura’s Specialist Social Scientist, will address delegates at the clean energy industry’s premier Conference and Exhibition, to be held from 5–7 September at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre.
At the Conference’s wind power forum, Dr Nielsen will present strategies for better engagement with the local communities that host renewable energy projects.
Dr Nielsen will identify a range of factors that create high levels of community anxiety and additional scrutiny in relation to renewable projects, and she will present a methodology that participants in the clean energy sector can use to improve the way they engage with local communities.
