EcoGen 2010 is set to be the clean energy event of the year, bringing together the highest levels of the clean energy industry, locally and internationally.
Michael Ottaviano will speaking during a water session between 1:30–3:00 on Day Three of EcoGen 2010, 8 September.
Mr Ottaviano has been the CEO of Carnegie since 2006 and in that role oversees all activities that Carnegie undertakes including all commercial and technical aspects of the company’s operations, engineering and design, intellectual property and finance and administration.
During this time Carnegie has developed its CETO Wave Energy technology from Proof of Concept, through a Pilot Plant phase and into the initial Commercial Demonstration stages.
Article continues below…As CEO, Dr Ottaviano has raised over $30 million in equity, overseen an increase in market capitalisation from $8 million to over $100 million and secured Government funding support for Carnegie’s Wave Technology of $20 million from Australian, Canadian and French governments.
Dr Ottaviano is a member of the Australian Government’s Energy White Paper advisory committee and joined the Clean Energy Council board in 2009.
Dr Ottaviano’s background is in research and development, and technology commercialisation.
Prior to Carnegie, he was a Senior Manager specialising in technology and innovation consulting at a global advisory firm. Prior to this, he was a division manager at an Australian-based heavy manufacturing company active in research and development activities.
Dr Ottaviano has a Bachelor of Engineering, a Master’s of Science and a Doctorate in Business Administration.
