EcoGen 2010 is set to be the clean energy event of the year, bringing together the highest levels of the clean energy industry, locally and internationally.
Daniel Jones will speaking during a session titled ‘Clean energy in a competitive market’ between 3:00–4:30pm on Day One of EcoGen 2010, 6 September, and again between 3:00–4:30pm on Day Two, 7 September in a session titled ‘Remote and distributed generation’.
Daniel began his career with AGL in 2003 as the Group Accountant. He then moved into the Corporate Financial Controller and Manager Finance – Gas Development roles for the Merchant Energy group. In this time, Daniel’s most significant achievements were providing financial due diligence on proposed acquisitions and commercial arrangements, and establishing the Upstream Gas finance strategy.
Daniel is currently responsible for leading the Energy Services group of 28 employees and managing AGL’s 25 key assets. He specialises in market knowledge, strategy and value-based planning.

Before joining AGL Energy, Daniel was employed in similar roles at companies such as Singtel Optus and Andersen. He has extensive experience in accounting, financial management, international finance and strategic planning.
Daniel holds qualifications in charted accountancy and a Bachelor of Economics from Macquarie University.
