Data for assessing the connection of renewable energy to the Great Britain electricity distribution network for two key new areas is now available online.
Network data from two of the UK’s largest distribution network operators (DNO), EDF Energy and Scottish Hydro, has been added to the online assessment tool, GridConnection.co.uk. The additions to the site allow users to assess the connection of renewable energy projects in the East of England and in Scotland.
GridConnection.co.uk was specially developed to allow those interested in connecting renewables to carry out grid integration assessment studies for projects such as wind farms and biomass schemes.
