The $1.3 million Madowla Park Integrated Bioenergy Project, located near Echuca, will involve the production of 1.5 million litres of biodiesel and 4,000 litres of animal feed at Ecofuels’ new bio-energy production facility at the park.

The four-stage integrated bioenergy project will include:

  • Sourcing locally grown oilseed - either Indian mustard or canola
  • Pressing oilseed for oil to convert to biodiesel
  • Pelletising press-cake or meal
  • Operating the biodiesel and blending plant.

Funding for the project came from the State Government’s $1 billion Regional Growth Fund.
