The 6-star Bosch 32C Commercial Condensing system ranks higher than any other commercial gas hot water system on the market according to Bosch. It was judged by ECO-Buy, and announced at its recent ‘Awards for Excellence in Green Purchasing’, to be innovative and to offer outstanding environmental benefits.
Water heating accounts for 25 per cent of energy used in the average Australian home, and is responsible for approximately 23 per cent of a home’s total greenhouse gas emissions explains Bosch. Most commercial operations use a similar, often greater, proportion of their overall energy use on hot water.
“The Bosch 32C is a high-efficiency continuous flow gas system ideal for schools, aged-care facilities and leisure centres,” said ECO-Buy Research Manager Stephen Reardon.
“It has an innovative condenser feature that takes heat from the exhaust gases to pre-heat inlet water, helping it to achieve a 6-star rating.”
The effect is an energy saving of up to 16 per cent, compared with standard continuous flow commercial systems.
According to James Smith, National Commercial Manager for Bosch Hot Water, the Bosch 32C had become the green product of choice for large homes and commercial projects across Australia because of its unique environmental edge over competing systems.
In terms of carbon reduction, Mr Smith said choosing the Bosch 32C was equivalent to taking one-and-a-half cars off the road for a year, saving tonnes of greenhouse gas emissions and major dollars in terms of running costs.
