Mr Carr said that the Clean Technologies (CleanTech) Ideas Competition will promote a uniquely Australian take on building the future of clean energy sector.
Entrants can make submissions based on technologies, services and policies that address areas such as:
- Energy storage
- Energy efficiency
- Building materials
- Transportations systems
- Waste treatment
Entrants will compete for over $100,00 in prize services to launch their idea, including access to venture capitalists, patent support, legal advice, research support or corporate assurance.
The winner of the CleanTech competition will also gain entry into the international CleanTech Open Global Ideas Competition in the United States, representing Australia.
The Australian competition is part of the $8.2 million Supplier Advocate Program, and is supported by Enterprise Connect, Commercialisation Australia, the CSIRO and Austrade.
