The multi-stream conference and extensive exhibition are part of All-Energy Australia – a free, business-to-business event – which will be held at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre on 7 and 8 October.

Hosted by the Victorian Department of Primary Industries and endorsed by the Australian Clean Energy Council and the Western Australian Sustainable Energy Association, All-Energy Australia will canvas all major themes relating to clean and sustainable energy development. EcoGeneration magazine will be partnering with All-Energy Australia, bringing you the latest news and updates.

Among keynote speakers revealed are President of the European Solar Energy Foundation Olivier Druecke, and CEO of the Energy Supply Association of Australia Brad Page, along with Ian Gallet, who heads the Society of Underwater Technology.

Other speakers of note to address the two day conference will include Deputy Secretary of the Department of Resources, Energy and Tourism Drew Clarke, General Manager Power & Environment for Loy Yang Power Richard Elkington, and CEO of the Biofuels Association of Australia Bruce Harrison.

After a ministerial plenary session to open the conference on Wednesday 7 October, concurrent themes in the morning session will cover carbon reduction legislation, renewable energy, power generation and the low carbon economy.

Early and late afternoon speakers will address energy efficiency, solar power, transmission and distribution, power storage and the development of clean energy.

A giant networking evening has been planned for the first night of the event, which will start with an informal happy hour, during which exhibitors are expected to take the opportunity to host colleagues, friends and new contacts.

Thereafter, delegates, exhibitors and invited guests will be treated to a themed evening of entertainment and networking. The second day will see speakers addressing wind, geothermal and marine energy systems, transport fuels, and industrial ecology.

As well as discussion on clean energy technologies, the conference will include a trade commission business briefing, including representations from Austrade, the Canadian Trade Commission and the UK Trade & Investment Commission, followed by two significant sessions on clean energy funding.

Delegates are being attracted from around the world. Registrations to date include representatives from Europe, North America, the United Arab Emirates, China, India, Japan, Malaysia and Nepal.

Sun-Earth has just been named as the event’s platinum sponsor. Sun-Earth is one of the world’s leading photovoltaic solar panel manufacturers. Established in 1966 as a producer of mono-crystalline ingots for the semiconductor industry, the company began manufacturing solar cells and panels in 1978 and will be launching its brand in the Australian market at the All-Energy event.

The gold sponsors are Conergy, Suntech and Abengoa Solar, together with its engineering and construction sister company, Abener.

Conergy manufactures and distributes components and systems for generating solar electricity, solar hot water and wind power. Suntech is a worldwide leader in the design and manufacture of innovative solar energy solutions for a wide variety of customers and applications. Abengoa Solar develops and applies climate friendly solar power technologies. Y

Regional Director of All-Energy Australia Boyd Dale says “The aim of the event is to act as a vibrant forum for discussion and networking between the clean energy industry and those looking to develop clean energy solutions.

“We want it to be a catalyst for the development of the clean energy sector.”

Mr Dale says registration has now officially opened and he welcomes all parties, from developers, project delivery professionals, power companies and planners to federal and state government representatives, investors, academics, educators and end users, as well as emerging entrepreneurs with a passion for clean energy.

“We encourage all with a professional interest in sustainable energy solutions to attend this free-to-delegate event. Here is their opportunity to mix with other like-minded individuals and companies.”

The event organisers are also responsible for orchestrating All-Energy UK, Europe’s largest clean energy exhibition and conference, which has been staged annually in Aberdeen, Scotland, since 2001.

All-Energy UK 09 – held in May – was the most successful yet, attracting more than 5,000 global participants, including nearly 400 exhibitors, from 60 countries.
