Fronius partners with Selectronic for off-grid solution

PRESS RELEASE | Fronius has moved closer to achieving its vision of 24 hours of sun by expanding its storage offering to make the Fronius Primo range compatible with Selectronic’s grid-tie inverters.

The Fronius SnapINverter range has been very successful in Australia with the most popular version being the Fronius Primo, a single phase inverter design for optimised energy management.

Now those that enjoy installing the Fronius Primo have the benefit of coupling it with a high quality Selectronic energy storage system.

Fronius Australia managing director Adrian Noronho commented, “To expedite the realisation of our ’24 hours of sun’ vision we need to form strong partnerships with reliable partners. Selectronic is a proven, quality
manufacturer in the electronics industry with innovation at their core and a shared passion for clean energy. Together we can make the transition to 100% renewables a faster one.”

In partnering with Selectronic, Fronius is offering a true off-grid storage solution comprising the Selectronic Certified Fronius Primo in power categories from 3.0kW to 8.2kW, and Selectronic Certified grid-tie inverter.

The innovative Super Flex Design of the Selectronic Certified Fronius Primo provides maximum flexibility in system design, while the SnapINverter mounting system makes installation and maintenance easier than ever before.

The included communication package, with WLAN, energy management, several interfaces and much more, allows the Selectronic Certified Fronius Primo to communicate with the user, the PV system and the grid.

A Selectronic Certified grid-tie inverter may be used in all types of solar power systems; grid-connect with or without batteries or fully off-grid.

Says Rod Scott, CEO of Selectronic, “Selectronic and Fronius are aligned in many ways – not only does the SP PRO integrate seamlessly with the Selectronic Certified Primo and batteries to give people more choice and
flexibility over how their home is powered, but we share the foundation of being a family-run company with a commitment to reliability and customer support.”
